The Carnival in Rio de Janeiro is coming to end today on March 8th and it is quite a spectacle. Thousands of revellers and spectators enjoyed a visual display of colors, dancers, floats, streamers and costumes all set to the sounds of samba music.
Last year we published pictures from the Burning Man Festival 2009, this time we propose you to take a look at a big selection of the best shots from this festival through out the years.
For those who don’t know what this festival is about: Burning Man is an eight-day annual event held in the Black Rock Desert in northern Nevada, in the United States. It takes its name from the ritual burning of a large wooden effigy on Saturday evening. The event is described by many participants as an experiment in community, radical self-expression, and radical self-reliance.
Art theme for 2010 is "Metropolis: The Life of Cities" and 51,454 people participated in Burning Man this year.
