Post-its from work, cute and Halloween-ish

Yes!! I am finally escaping LA! Not for good, but for a week. I'm going somewhere pretty where I will get to run around outside and be happy. I am really gonna miss my cats. I gotta get this post up quick though cause I have to get to bed. I'm getting up at 3:30 tomorrow morning! Arrrghhh...

Anyhow, here are some post-its from work. Post-its are perfect for taking a break from working. I find taking a break from work-drawing to draw for myself is more relaxing than taking a coffee break or anything else.

I really wanted to do some Halloween drawings, but no time...here are some less cutesy post-its, though.

Friend Christine on a very tiny post-it. Christine is taking care of my kitties while I'm away. Thank you Christine!!

Dead-ish lady. Too bad!

The Uggo twins

Three weird looking women.

We're doing another month of Halloween Skadi comics, only this time it's another ongoing story called "Skadi Goes to Hell." This story also stars a new succubus character...here is the original design for her. She changed some for the comic, though. So far 2 pages are up. Click here to see the first page!

I'll be gone for a while, but I'll come back with new drawings!

Star Trek print!

Thanks to everyone's feedback, I decided on this as my next print to sell.

I really like how this came out! They look really nice in person. This poster is made up of Post-It doodles I've been doing while referencing the beautiful girls of Star Trek TOS. It's nice and glossy and sturdy because it's printed on nice cardstock paper, and you can get one for 15 bucks!

I think I'll aim to get more prints put up every few months or so. Maybe Hillbillies next?

ALSO, it's a 3 day weekend!! Hooray! I'm gonna draw this weekend, so come back next week!

even MORE Galactically Hot Women of Star Trek

Maybe eventually I will give every girl in this Flickr group a post-it drawing of her own...

Hot Klingon lady

This one is cute but a bit funny in the face. :)

I kinda want to compile these into one thing.

To make this I had to eliminate 2 drawings, which is too bad, but they were pretty wonky. Should I pretty this up and make it a print to sell? Speaking of which, thanks to everyone who's bought a print. I know now is a terrible time to buy art (or anything for that matter), so I really appreciate it!

I'm sleepy! I hope you like these. Goodnight!

Meager offerings

YEE-HAW! True Blood is on tonight! Anyone else here watch it? Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley), post-it style:

Another Sookie doodle:

I like how Bill calls her "Sucky" instead of "Sookie". I like Bill.

Super weirdo realistic drawing of 60's model Nico (plus skinny extra on the side):

I'm not that familiar with her face, so I'm not sure how much this looks like her. Hillbillies, drawn later that day:

Not much time for drawing nowadays. :/

MORE Galactically Hot Women of Star Trek!

10 more Star Trek gals, again on post-its, drawn while eating or at 2 am, right before bed. These aren't as cool as the first ones, but who cares! Everyone could use some extra Star Trek in their lives in these troubled times (I'm tired).

First, have some green:

OOPS cross-eye alert

This lady was prettier than my drawing

This Vulcan girl is so pretty. I messed her up bigtime. She's not good enough for Spock anyhow!

This girl kind of looks like Chekov.

I like this one.

Ok that's it! Time for sleep!! Coming soon, "Miss Pas Touche" fan art, or Moongirl drawings, I'm not sure. If you liked these, check out the previous post, there are better Trek gals below.

The Galactically Hot Women of Star Trek

Everyone is talking about Star Trek now that the new movie is out! It made me want to watch the older episodes again. Then watching them made me want to draw the cute space girls. SO I dug up this link someone sent me a while ago and did some post-it drawings.

"
The Galactically Hot Women of Star Trek" is a photo group on Flickr, and it's really cool! Go look at all the cool hairstyles and costumes!

Super hot Uhura is first in line:
Add Video

Most of these aren't really recognizable caricatures, just doodles that are inspired by the photos. OH HEY I would recommend drawing on post-its to anyone in a drawing slump- it takes away the pretension and makes you less intimidated to draw well.

Some of Mudd's women :)

This drawing is terrible...

...but I like how this one came out!

This girl didn't really have those weird eyes...

The extras from this episode are really funny...the girls are cute, and the men wear super ridiculous wigs that are pretty great.

Some of these are extra wonky since I drew straight ahead, but it doesn't bother me...drawing for fun is just as important as studying and practicing and all that.

I would like to be a Star Trek girl in space. T__T

I hope to do more Star Trek drawings soon! I really want to draw Spock, as he is the perfect man and all. I also want to do some full body drawings of some of the girls in their cool costumes and stuff. Also I'm kind of regretting coloring some of these post-its, some of them looked cooler in black and yellow.

OH also, this weekend Luke and I went to Stuart Ng's bookstore/showroom, and spent our weekly "fun" budget on new French comic books. The two on the left are my finds, and the two on the right are Luke's.

All of them are really cool, but the two I got are gonna require some fanart. I'll post about them soon.

Also coming soon: Moongirl fanart, for those of you who know the show UFO! Actually I've never seen the show, but the costumes are so cool I had to draw some of them over the weekend.

K gotta get back to work now, thanks for reading!

Dirty pencil pictures

A couple nights ago I sketched some girls out of dirty 60's magazines while watching "The Tudors" with Luke. I don't draw with pencil very often because I'm less confident with how my lines look. These are more practice drawings than fun drawings, but I'll post them anyhow cause I liked how some of them turned out.

The cheap color job on that one above is just Photoshop. These are drawn on watercolor paper though, so maybe sometime I'll use these for paint practice!

The drawing of the lady with scary eyes is super wonky, but the model was so cool!!

I liked these yesterday but tonight I'm not so sure.

I like these though. :)

I'm taking a mini-vacation this weekend- Christine (she's in the comic I posted below) and I are going to Tahoe for our high school reunion. I hope some weird events will happen so I can do a comic about it.

I'm getting up at 5:30 so maybe it would be smart to sleep. Goodnight!
